Two graduates of Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts Qatar, Amira Al-Khateeb and Ali Al-Mansoori, are at the forefront of this movement.

Amira and Ali’s work showcases the intersection of art and technology, a field that is rapidly expanding. This convergence of disciplines has given rise to new forms of creative expression, such as digital art, virtual reality, and augmented reality.

She had been working with a group of children with autism and was looking for ways to make their therapy sessions more engaging and fun.

The PAPR course at VCUarts Qatar offered a unique opportunity for me to explore the intersection of art and autism. Through a series of workshops and discussions, I gained a deeper understanding of the ways in which art can be used as a tool for therapy and self-expression.
